The following is via email from Karen MacLeod summarizing some awards attendees have voted in the past.

I just
checked the log for last year's chat --- which covered service for the YEAR
2010.
NO fan related awards were given that year. We had very few people
present and connectivity problems, so it was voted to forgo the awards. Stock
awards were given.
For this year --- since I won't be attending --- I
cobbled together this list of awards I * think * we'd be giving out. There may
be a few others, but I don't recall them. Others may be listed in the older
chat logs that are on the domain. The most recently posted is

THIS YEAR the vote is for
the work people did in the 2011 calendar year. (If you're reading this Jan 1,
2013, then it's for work done in 2012, etc.)
I took the list below from
the Awards website, which hasn't been updated in "forever."

The Silver yo-yo Award
--- The Silver Yo-Yo Awards were presented by the fanzine A Companion in Zeor
for heroic actions performed on behalf of the zine. They were awarded on a
per-issue basis. Some issues had multiple Yo-Yo Award recipients, while others
(presumably the ones where production went especially smoothly) had none.
As the course and presentation of Sime~Gen refines itself in this multimedia
world, the Silver Yo-You is also awarded for exemplary services rendered in
course of publishing A Companion in Zeor in an on-line format.
The
Golden yo-yo Award --- The GoldenYo-Yo Awards were presented by the fanzine
Ambrov Zeor over the years.
The Digen Farris Memorial Meritorious
Service Award
The Risa Tigue Gen (and Sime) Re-Use Award --- "it doesn't
make good economic sense to use a Gen only once."
-- Risa Tigue, AMBROV KEON
Sime/Gen fandom operated primarily via snail mail for almost 20 years before
going online in the fall of 1996. Many longtime fans, including some of the
fanzine editors, were essentially cut off from mainstream fandom by the shift.
This award honors Sime/Gen fans who have given their old computer systems to
further the cause of other Sime/Gen fans' gaining email and Web access, and also
the recipients of those computers for giving email and the Web a game try and,
well, for just being themselves!
The Tech-ton Award --- Invented by
Jacqueline Lichtenberg in 1997, this award goes to people who have benefitted
Sime~Gen fandom by the creation and/or application of new software and online
tools.
The Nager Award --- This award is given to those who have given
emotional support to others, guiding them through rough times or just generally
"being there" when needed.
Karen Award --- Created in 2002, this award
for Creating Foundations is awarded to those individuals or organizations who
have helped to create the Sime~gen fan universe or, who have proven
indispensable in growing and maintaining the Simegen domain.
Moveable feast Award --- was for having to move an entire room full of party food across a hotel when the party room had to be changed.
Our
Territory Awards --- This award is given to those whose non-Simegen related
sites bring visitors to the domain.
Please send me a copy of the logs
as you are able. I'd like to see what was discussed and voted on.
Happy,
healthy, blessed and prosperous 2012 to you and yours,
Karen
